Food categories for GACC registration

  • For Producers GACC registration, Each of the food category  （4-digit subcategory） requires a separate GACC registration number, Each facility address requires a separate GACC registration number ！
  • If your product list covers multiple food categories, please submit a separate new application for each category one by one, Then can apply for the product listing under the corresponding category..
  • GACC registration of exporter, can choose multiple food categories;

    Note:
  • Each high-risk food category needs to apply for GACC registration separately, and each high-risk food category must have a separate GACC registration number, then can be legally exported to China;
  • Require producers have food safety management system (such as, HACCP, GMP,BRC, SQF, Freshcare, ISO 22000,etc.)
  • For some production facilities (Mainly in developing and low-developed countries), GACC-CNCA maybe arrange site-inspection;
  • Each production facility and cold storage facility needs to apply for a separate GACC registration number;

    • Food categories for GACC-2-1 General Exporter Registration

  • You can choose multiple categories , won't increasing the cost and time of GACC registration;
  • Involving * Medium risk or ** High risk food categories, if the exporter provides storage services (Cold or DRY store), it is also necessary to apply for GACC-1-2 or GACC-1-3 types risky food storage facility registration
  • Specifically, for some primary agricultural products, such as Edible grains, Nuts and seeds, Unroasted coffee/cocoa beans, Oilseeds, Plant spices, Vegetables, Fruits, etc., If the exporter purchases from individual farmers, then sorting, packaging and storage these agricultural products, and export to China.
    In that way, the process of sorting, packaging and storage belongs to the kinds of processing products, then the exporter needs to assume the quality responsibility of these primary agricultural products,
    So the exporter also need to apply for the GACC-2-2 registration of producer ;
  • Special reminder: there were already many exporters of primary agricultural products (include meats, seafoods etc.) because they have not applied for the GACC registration of producer, Cause the Goods cannot be cleared at Chinese ports !

  • If your products belong to the above categories, in addition to GACC-2-1 General Exporter Registration, you also need to apply for GACC-2-2 Special Exporter Permit, after included in the "List of Enterprises Allowed to Export to China(White list)" , then can export China.
  • Please note that GACC-2-2 permit is not guaranteed to be approved 100% after you apply for it. The applicant enterprises need to be recommended by the competent authorities of the country of origin, and then GACC will approve some of the recommended enterprises to enter the "Permitted white list" according to relevant China policies.
